Terms and conditions
These terms apply when you use the Proof of Data site, app, API, SDK or MCP server. Last updated 19 October 2026.
The service
Proof of Data is software: a set of public smart contracts on Robinhood Chain, a browser app that encrypts data locally, an API that relays sealed data and paid queries to attested enclaves, and an enclave image. Uploads are open only while at least one attested enclave is registered.
What you upload
You may only seal data that you have the right to share and that concerns you, or people who agreed. Do not seal data about others without their consent, illegal material, or data you are bound to keep confidential. You keep ownership of your plates and grant the enclave a licence to compute aggregates over them and to train the Armour while they are live. Deleting a plate ends that licence from the next epoch.
Renters
Renters receive aggregates only. A renter who exfiltrates, re-identifies or publishes canary rows loses its deposit under the Canaries contract, and may be refused further access. Do not attempt to re-identify anyone from outputs.
Payments and the token
Payments are in USDG on Robinhood Chain and settle through the Meter contract. Payouts depend on queries actually being made; nothing is guaranteed. $POD is a utility token used to bond enclaves; it is not an investment, a share or a claim on revenue, and nothing on this site is financial advice. Transactions on a public blockchain are final.
Risks
Confidential computing reduces, but does not remove, risk: hardware flaws, side channels or bugs in the enclave image could expose data. The contracts are tested but not audited. Use Proof of Data only with data whose exposure you could accept.
Not affiliated
Proof of Data is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Intel, Phala, Alibaba (Qwen), OpenAI, Google, Telegram, Anthropic, Cursor, Uniswap or Robinhood. Their names and marks belong to their owners and are used to describe integrations.
Liability
The service is provided as is. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect losses, lost profits or lost data. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
Changes
We may update these terms; protocol parameters change only through the 48 hour timelock.
